We are honoured to invite you to take part in the international academic conference ‘Contemporary Challenges of Managing the Local Government – Multi-Aspect Analysis’, organized by Uczelnia Jana Wyżykowskiego in Polkowice. The event will be in a hybrid mode. The aim of the conference is to present research results and best practices, as well as a discussion, concerning social changes in the field of the use of contemporary practices of local government communities in Poland and worldwide.
Moreover, the conference is aimed to create a platform for discussion for academics and representatives of the local self-government units , as well as social leaders, on the factors determining the contemporary socio-economic development at various spatial scales. Of great interest for the purpose of the conference may be the perspectives of humanities, social science and exact science.

- models of cooperation within functional areas – the role of the leader, association.
We count on the participation of representatives of many areas of science – scholars, PhD students, students, local government representatives with hands-on experience, representatives of the economic sector. Our conference benefits from a wide range of theories, research and methodologies, as well as from the knowledge of various local environments, , civic organisations, representatives of local governments. Everyone is cordially invited.
Organisational details
- The entries to participate in the conference, together with a short abstract (the online entry form) should be sent by 30 April 2024.
- The papers to be presented during the conference, after being approved of by reviewers, will be published – eligible for publishing points. The deadline for sending the texts to be published – 31 May 2024.
- The editorial requirements will be sent to the authors who express their will to have their work published.
- The Organisers expect participation in the form of speech, research statement, as well as discussion, allowing specific amounts of time for each type of presentation:
- speech 15 minutes
- research statement 10 minutes
- participation in discussion 5 minutes.
- The detailed programme of the conference, together with additional organisational details, will be sent to those interested by: 6 May 2024.
