Erasmus+ for Students
Erasmus+ is a European Union program that supports educational exchanges. Under the program, UJW students can study abroad (i.e., complete part of their degree program at a partner university abroad – SMS) or complete an internship at a foreign company (SMP). The National Agency for the Erasmus+ Program and its implementing body in Poland is the Foundation for the Development of the Education System.

Funding to enable students to participate in study programs or internships abroad is awarded through a grant to universities that hold the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). UJW holds this charter. To participate in a study abroad program, you must complete the application form and review the rules of participation (see the files and documents available for download below).
1. Long-term stays in Program countries under financial agreement KA131-2022
These are stays lasting from 2 to 12 months in Erasmus+ program countries. The program countries include all European Union member states and 6 non-EU countries (the Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey). Long-term student stays are possible:
- for college (text message),
- for an internship (SMT).
UJW has agreements with universities in the program countries: Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Portugal.
1.1. Scholarship
UJW students receive a scholarship, the amount of which depends on the group to which the destination country belongs.

1.2. Additional Scholarship
UJW students who have a disability certification or have been approved for a social scholarship at UJW will receive an additional 250 euros for each month of their stay, regardless of the type of trip.
2. Long-term stays in Program countries under financial agreement KA131-2023

2.2. Additional Scholarship

3. Travel to third countries not associated with the EU
Partner countries are countries that do not fully participate in the Erasmus+ program but may participate (as partners of higher education institutions) in certain actions of the program. UJW students can participate in this action after an agreement has been signed with a university in the respective country.
3.1. Scholarship
- Long-term stays – monthly stipend for studies or an internship: 700 euros per month.
- Short-term trips (5–30 days) – the daily stipend amount depends on the length of stay:
- 5–14 days – 70 euros per day (79 euros for KA-2023),
- 15–30 days – 50 euros per day (56 euros for KA-2023).
3.2. Additional Scholarship
- Long-term stays – additional scholarship amount for disability or financial hardship – 250 euros per month
- Short-term trips – the additional amount provided to a participant due to a disability or financial hardship depends on the length of stay:
- 5–14 days – 100 euros per trip.
- 15–30 – 150 euros per trip.
3.3. Travel Expenses
As part of student trips to partner countries, students may receive a lump-sum payment to cover travel expenses. This applies to:
- Short-term trips for students with a disability certification or who are in financial need (as determined by a decision on a social scholarship from UJW),
- Long-term stays, with the exception of certain countries (including the United Kingdom, San Marino, and Monaco – a complete list of countries is available from the staff member handling Erasmus+ matters).
