It’s supposed to be summer break, but thanks to the Erasmus+ Program, July at UJW is shaping up to be very busy!

Since July 1, our staff members have been conducting study visits at partner universities. The Vice-Rector, Miłosz Czopek, PhD, Assoc. Prof., is currently at the Pitesti University Center of the POLITEHNICA National University of Science and Technology in Bucharest, where he has already met with university officials and the leadership of the Faculty of Economics and Law. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss management-related issues and to exchange experiences and best practices in this area. Topics related to academic cooperation, the development of educational programs, and opportunities for future international projects were also addressed.

Meanwhile, the 5th International Staff Week is currently underway at the University of Economics in Varna, where UJW has sent a strong delegation consisting of Magdalena Skorobogata, PhD, Renata Socha, PhD, and Jan Walczak, PhD. The event’s program includes training for academic staff on building international relationships and teamwork. Participants will also learn about best practices and opportunities for professional development in the academic community, in both teaching and research. Part of the program is dedicated to study visits. International Staff Week runs from July 1 to 5 and will conclude with a ceremony to award certificates of participation in the international training program, scheduled to take place at the Museum in Varna.

But that’s not all! The University’s administrative staff are also visiting partner institutions. Renata Wallis, Ewa Zięcina, and Monika Jabłko are currently meeting and discussing matters with their counterparts at Alanya University in Turkey.

Such meetings are an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the ties between our institutions and broaden our academic horizons. We are convinced that the knowledge we have gained and the contacts we have made will contribute to the further development of our university and strengthen international cooperation.
