Establishment of the Copper Economic Development Center

Legnica Special Economic Zone S.A., with the support of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and eleven other partners, will establish the Copper Economic Development Center. Among them are four local governments, four universities, an aviation cluster, and business support organizations. A cooperation agreement has just been signed at the LSSE headquarters in Legnica. This is set to be one of the most important new projects in the Legnica-Głogów subregion. The Copper Economic Development Center (MCRG) is set to become a hub that will foster the growth of the small and medium-sized enterprise sector and stimulate the region’s economy. This will result in new jobs, including positions for highly qualified workers. By design, the MCRG is intended to support the entire economic sector – from business incubators and startups to large investors seeking to establish operations in the region. The signatories to the cooperation agreement are:
- The Legnica Special Economic Zone, in collaboration with the LSSE Economic Area Development Council and the Lower Silesian Aviation Cluster.

- Głogów Municipality,
- Kotla Municipality,
- Jerzmanowa Municipality.
