Awards for the Jan Wyżykowski University

On March 23 of this year, on the 65th anniversary of the discovery of the Polish Copper deposits, at the request of the board of Centrum Badań Jakości Sp. z o.o., the Rector of our university, Tadeusz Kierzyk, PhD, Assoc. Prof., was honored with the exceptional “Distinguished Service to CBJ” award, while the Dean of the Lubin Branch Campus, Anna Wojciechowicz, BEng, PhD, was awarded the mining degree of First-Class Mining Engineer. “This is a special day on which we would like to thank the Rector for our long-standing collaboration – for his efforts, care, and contribution to the university’s development, as well as for the opportunity to work together for the benefit of the residents of our region,” said Wacław Szetelnicki, PhD, President of CBJ Sp. z o.o., in his speech. “I am glad that there are influential individuals within KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. who have recognized the efforts the university is making to align educational programs with the labor market,” ,” added Rector Dr. Tadeusz Kierzyk, Assoc. Prof., as he accepted the award. The ceremony was also attended by: Łukasz Puźniecki – Mayor of Polkowice; Artur Perliński – Vice President of the Management Board of CBJ Sp. z o.o.; and Paweł Greń, PhD, Assoc. Prof. – Vice-Rector of the university.
