13th International Scientific Conference “Local Communities in the Age of (R)evolutionary Technological Change”

On November 7, 2025, the Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice hosted the 13th International Scientific Conference titled “Local Communities in the Age of (R)evolutionary Technological Change.”
The event was dedicated to discussing how modern technologies influence the functioning of local communities, local governments, and the daily lives of residents.
The conference brought together representatives from the academic community, public administration, and the business sector, creating a space for inspiring debates and the exchange of experiences on the role of technology in the development of local communities. Participants discussed, among other things, how to use digital solutions in a responsible and innovative way to build open, engaged, and modern local governments.
The event was organized jointly by the Jan Wyżykowski University and the University of Lower Silesia (DSW).
The conference partners were the Legnica Special Economic Zone (LSSE) and the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).
The event is held under the honorary patronage of:

The conference served as an important forum for reflection on the future of local communities in an era of rapid technological change and as an example of fruitful cooperation between academia, local governments, and the business sector.
