Today, Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice hosted a lecture by Grzegorz Jastrzębski, PhD on cybersecurity. Students from the United Nations of Europe School Complex in Polkowice attended the event. The lecture is one of a series of planned classes organized in the coming months by the Jan Wyżykowski University for students of the Polkowice high school, as part of a signed cooperation agreement. “In March and April, during the summer semester, the students will visit our university again to take part in a series of math classes to prepare for the high school graduation exam. In April and June, there will be blocks of classes on career counseling,” says Jan Walczak, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Technical Sciences at UJW. “We’ll cover topics such as sequences, linear and quadratic functions, but we’ll also practice writing resumes and preparing for job interviews. The selection of course topics is based on the actual needs expressed by the students,” says the Dean. The classes, which will run until the end of the academic year for students at the Polkowice School Complex, will be led by Dr. G. Jastrzębski, as well as Dr A. Wojciechowicz, BEng (MSc) – Dean of the UJW Branch Campus – and M. Ambroziak-Sieradzka, MSc – a career counselor at UJW. The classes will be held in UJW lecture halls.
