On June 18, 2024, a trilateral cooperation agreement was signed at Jan Wyżykowski University between the university and the Association of Accountants in Poland, represented by its Legnica and Zielona Góra chapters. The agreement was signed, among other things, to undertake joint activities aimed at exchanging experiences regarding teaching methodologies in the Management program within the Accounting and Financial Management specialization, to design new specializations within the Management program, and to implement and improve the teaching process “I am convinced that this collaboration will be beneficial for both parties,” said Barbara Rosińska, Chair of the Board of the Zielona Góra Regional Branch. “The Association will be pleased to train individuals who are already substantively prepared for this profession.” We will supplement the training with practical classes so that students and our course participants are ultimately as well-prepared as possible for work in the profession they chose when they enrolled in the Accounting and Financial Management specialization within the Management program. “In addition to its strictly educational activities, the Association is also dedicated to fostering integration among accountants, HR professionals, and financiers, and I believe we will have opportunities for collaboration in this area as well,” – added Marcin Wyrzykowski, Chairman of the Board of the Legnica Regional Branch. – Additionally, our Association promotes the Code of Ethics – the principles that accountants should follow in their daily work and personal lives – and we would also like to develop this cooperation in this area. On behalf of the University, the agreement was signed by Miłosz Czopek, PhD, Assoc. Prof. and Acting Vice-Rector, who summarized the event: – I would like to point out that this arrangement is not coincidental, as our students are residents of the Lower Silesian, Lubusz, and Greater Poland provinces; and therefore this cooperation with the branches in both Zielona Góra and Legnica will create optimal conditions for students to enhance their skills and supplement their knowledge with very important practical elements. The meeting was also attended by the Directors of the Administrative Offices of the Regional Branch in Legnica, Mr. Wojciech Wojtysiak, and the Regional Branch in Zielona Góra, Ms. Marta Chmiel.
