On June 24, the finals of the “Taming AI – Students Can Do It” competition, organized as part of the #4theFutureOfEducation program, took place. The initiative aimed to introduce young people to topics related to artificial intelligence, modern technologies, and industrial education. During the competition’s closing ceremony, the winners received letters of congratulations from Dariusz Zając, PhD, Assoc. Prof., on behalf of the university’s Rector. The university was represented at the event by Beata Szymańska-Waczyńska, PhD, who expressed her appreciation to the winners for their commitment, creativity, and achievements. Six participants from Lower Silesia were honored in the competition, selected from among 160 people who took part in the preparatory workshops. It is particularly noteworthy that all the award-winning projects were developed by young women who successfully undertook the analysis and exploration of issues related to the use of artificial intelligence. The winners also received prizes sponsored by Bosch, including the grand prize of an internship. The participants also had the opportunity to attend training demonstrations at the Factory of the Future Lab and the Bosch Rexroth Mobile and Industrial World. In addition, they received expert feedback on their projects and shared the experiences they gained during nearly three months of work on technical issues and AI-based solutions. Jan Wyżykowski University congratulates all the winners and participants of the competition. We thank the organizers, partners, and teachers for jointly supporting the development of future-oriented skills and inspiring young people to take on challenges related to modern technologies.
