Meeting with KGHM INOVA

UJW and KGHM INOVA Discussed Cooperation for Industry Representatives of the Jan Wyżykowski University met with the Management Board of KGHM INOVA Center for Technical Innovation. The discussions focused on opportunities for scientific and expert collaboration in the field of research and technological development for industry. The official meeting was attended by representatives of the highest authorities of both institutions. KGHM INOVA Center for Technical Innovation was represented by its Management Board: President Rafał Korc and Vice Presidents Adam Borysiewicz and Jacek Wilk. Representing Jan Wyżykowski University was Rector Dr. Dariusz Zając, Assoc. Prof., along with a broad group of faculty members: Paweł Stefaniak, BEng, PhD, DSc, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social and Technical Sciences; Piotr Krysiak, BEng, PhD Waldemar Kisielewski, BEng, PhD Michał Szymczyk, and Marek Jaskólski, PhD. The main focus of the discussion was exploring avenues for potential technical and scientific collaboration. The talks centered on solutions supporting mining activities in the broadest sense and innovations aimed at tangibly improving working conditions for underground personnel. This dialogue allowed for the alignment of UJW’s academic research potential with the practical requirements and challenges facing the modern mining sector. The discussions held lay a promising foundation for future, long-term activities. The meeting successfully identified specific project areas in which both parties intend to develop a partnership to support the mining and energy sectors – key industries for the region.
