The activities carried out as part of the “Academic Compass: A Comprehensive Monitoring and Support Program at Jan Wyżykowski University” project effectively support students at Jan Wyżykowski University at various stages of their education. The goal of the project is to reduce the phenomenon of early withdrawal from studies (drop-out) by implementing a comprehensive support system that addresses the needs of the academic community.
As part of the project, students have access to, among other things, free transportation to campus, support from the Academic Psychological Counselling Centre, services from the Academic Careers Office, and integration activities that strengthen their connection to the university. These initiatives help improve the student experience, increase student engagement, and foster a welcoming academic environment.
The effectiveness of the implemented measures is confirmed by the monitoring results. In May 2026, there were 0 withdrawals and 0 removals from the student roster, which is the best result for the period under review. This result indicates that the adopted support model effectively addresses students’ needs and helps reduce the dropout rate.
The “Academic Compass: A Comprehensive Monitoring and Support Program at UJW” project is being implemented under Measure 01.05 “Skills in Higher Education” of the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 program, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
