UJW Senate Meeting

A Senate meeting was held at Jan Wyżykowski University, convened by the university’s founder – Zampol Sp. z o.o. The main item on the agenda was to express an opinion on the candidate for the position of Rector for the 2026–2030 term. In a secret ballot, the members of the Senate unanimously and positively endorsed the candidacy of Dariusz Zając, PhD, Assoc. Prof., for another term. The event was attended by Wiesław Wabik, Mayor of Polkowice, who was the first to offer his congratulations. Later in the meeting, the topic of directions for the development of the academic program was discussed, with particular emphasis on the field of mechanical engineering. The Rector holds the highest position within the university’s structure. He represents the university externally, directs its operations, and makes the most important decisions regarding financial, personnel, and organizational matters. He is responsible for the quality of education, the development of research activities, and the proper functioning of the university. He is also the supervisor of all employees and students. We extend our heartfelt congratulations and wish him continued success in his upcoming term.
