On April 8, the 22nd edition of the CIRCLE International conference, organized by UJW, kicked off in Polkowice. This event is one of the most prestigious international forums for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing, digitalization, and sustainable development.

The first day of the conference brought together participants from 16 countries, representing both the academic community and the business sector. Such broad representation underscores the international nature of the event and its important role in fostering dialogue between academia and the business world.

A key element of the program was the “Academia–Business” panel discussion, which focused on the current challenges facing the economy and opportunities for collaboration between universities and businesses. The following participants took part in the debate: – Tahir Rashid (University of Salford) – Razaq Raj (Leeds Business School) – Marek Wachnik (KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.) – Thomas Spangler (Brose Sitech Poland)

The panel was moderated by the Dean of UJW, Rafał Czachor, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof..

The discussion focused on key issues such as the digital transformation of the labor market, value creation processes in the context of dynamic economic change, and collaboration between international business and the academic community. The panel served as an important platform for exchanging views and experiences, highlighting the importance of synergy between academia and business in the context of building a modern, innovative economy.

The highlight of the first day of the conference was the “Musica in Ecclesia” concert, which took place at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Polkowice. The performance by Patrycjusz Gruszecki and Antoni Pokora provided a unique cultural highlight, rounding out the event’s program.

We would like to thank the Polkowice Cultural Center and the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Polkowice for organizing this special concert, which our conference guests were able to attend.

The conference was made possible thanks to external funding and the commitment of our partners and sponsors, including: – Polkowice Municipality – MODIVO Platform (CCC S.A.) – KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. – Brose Sitech Poland – Polish Spa Group – International Foundation Group
