Professional involvement and appointment to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s advisory team
We are pleased to announce that Dariusz Zając, PhD, Rector of the Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice, has been nominated by the Conference of Rectors of Polish Vocational Schools (KRZaSP) to participate in the work of the Advisory Group at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on Unethical Publication Practices.
This is an important step toward strengthening ethical and quality standards in the Polish academic community.
📅 May 14, 2025. Rector Dariusz Zając also attended a meeting of the KRZaSP, which took place at @Warsaw University of Information Technology. The meeting focused on the quality of education in practical degree programs at private universities.
💡 Key areas of discussion and recommendations:
There is a need to standardize the interpretation of the Polish Accreditation Commission’s (PKA) standards regarding practical degree programs.
Recognition of teaching staff’s professional experience as equivalent to scholarly achievements in the case of practice-oriented programs.
The need to foster dialogue between universities and experts visiting the PKA.
Taking into account the specific local and organizational characteristics of the university when evaluating the quality of education.
