Summary of the CIRCLE International Conference “NextGen Business: Sustainability & Digitalization”

On Friday, April 10, 2026, the latest edition of the CIRCLE International conference, “NextGen Business: Sustainability & Digitalization,” came to a close, bringing together a broad group of representatives from the worlds of academia and business from various parts of the world. The event served as a forum for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices in areas critical to the modern economy. The conference program included numerous parallel thematic exam sessions focusing, among other things, on issues of sustainable development, energy transition, tourism, marketing, and the social sciences and education. Presentations addressed topics such as emissions reduction, the development of renewable energy sources, challenges facing modern education and academic leadership, as well as the use of modern marketing tools in business practice. The conference was international in scope – it was attended by participants from 16 countries, including Japan, Spain, Germany, India, Ghana, South Africa, Kuwait, Turkey, Croatia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The event was held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and remote participation. This year’s edition was special – the conference was held in Poland for the third time, which is a significant distinction for Jan Wyżykowski University and the region within the international academic community. In previous years, the event was co-organized by the University of Szczecin (2015) and Kozminski University (2017).
