Webinar for UJW Students on Neurodiversity

Jan Wyżykowski University invites students to a webinar: “Neurodiversity in College – How to Make the Most of Your Unique Brain Instead of Fighting It?” Why can some people study for hours in silence and order, while others perform best under pressure, in chaos, or at the last minute? Why does concentration sometimes “disappear,” while at other times a state of hyperfocus sets in that’s hard to break? This webinar won’t be about how to “fix yourself.” It will be about understanding what’s really happening in your nervous system while you study – and how to stop treating your own way of functioning as a flaw that needs fixing. We’ll explore how neurodiversity affects concentration and distraction, procrastination and motivation, information overload and stress, study organization, and daily functioning. And most importantly: how to turn what is often a source of frustration today into strategies that truly suit your brain – instead of fighting against it. The session will be led by Renata Socha, PhD, a psychologist and neurotypical coordinator of the Academic Psychological Counselling Centre. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Registration is closed
